
Is the capital still a prime location for film and TV shoots? The City of Paris has taken stock of 2024, a year that was unprecedented due to the organization of the Olympic Games, and lists the French and foreign productions that chose it as a setting!
More than 90 films and 40 series: Paris has succeeded in attracting film shoots
After a year that turned Paris, its daily life and its cultural agenda upside down for several months, the municipality takes stock of 2024, from the point of view of the series and film shoots that took place there.
Contrary to what one might have thought, the capital was not deserted, and in fact managed to maintain a full schedule of film shoots. While filming was impossible for three months (from mid-June to mid-September), the municipality reports that 94 feature films have been received (compared with 98 in 2023 and 102 in 2022). In the case of series, 40 filmed a few scenes, and 91 documentaries.
The results, just released, also include the number of filming days , which was much lower than in 2023. In 2024, Paris accounted for 5708 days (1148 for films and 1021 for series), compared with 7400 days last year.

But which films and series were shot in Paris? Among the dozens of feature films shot here, Paris boasts a number of foreign productions, including Jim Jarmusch’sFather Mother Sister Brother and Naomi Kawasé’sEvaporated. On the French side, Olivier Marchal with Bastion 36 and Cédric Klapisch with La venue de l’avenir have also shot scenes in the capital, as have Isabelle Carré and Romane Bohringer.
In the series department, Emily in Paris, BRI and Master Crimes all filmed their latest seasons here. The capital has also succeeded in attracting brand-new productions such as Cat’s Eyes (TF1), Ça c’est Paris (France TV), Carême (Apple TV) and Super Mâles (Netflix).
Despite a shortened year, Paris’ power of attraction has not waned among national and international video-makers, and augurs well for the relationship between Paris and cinematic creation in 2025!
