A genuine tradition almost a century old, the Fête des Vendanges will be making a grand return to Montmartre. The 2025 edition will take place on the Butte from October 8 to 12. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the district’s village identity through the harvest of Paris’ only vineyard, and to take part in a host of activities.
Montmartre’s most iconic festival returns
From October 8 to 12, 2025, the Butte Montmartre will come alive for the 92nd edition of the Fête des Vendanges. This not-to-be-missed event, organized since 1934, celebrates the harvest of the Clos Montmartre vines, the only vineyard in Paris, while inviting the public to a popular, intergenerational celebration. This year’s theme? “Youth”, understood as a state of mind: creative, free and unifying.
For several days, Montmartre will be alive with a large farmers’ market, concerts, parades, street entertainment and shows. Enjoy regional specialties, music and color, in a convivial atmosphere reminiscent of the great village festivals. In more detail, the program also includes vineyard tours, lectures, a large choir, strolls and even a night-time run. All this will be orchestrated around a large market of artisans and winemakers, who will come to present their fine products.
Montmartre’s vineyards were planted in 1933 to preserve the hilltop’s rural spirit in the face of urbanization. Since then, every October, a few hundred kilos of grapes have been harvested and turned into wine by the Mairie de Paris. The limited number of bottles produced are auctioned off to benefit local associations.
In short, we’re looking forward to seeing you at the beginning of October!
