Head to the Fête de Paris on September 12 and 13—now in its 4th year , the event will take place just a stone’s throw from the Luxembourg Gardens. A weekend of festivities featuring a retro dance party, a parade, and a pop-up village!
The Fête de Paris Makes Its Grand Return
This coming September, get ready for a real trip back in time! The Fête de Paris is back with an incredible 4th edition just a stone’s throw from the Luxembourg Gardens, on Place André-Honnorat. Over the course of a weekend, this free festival will bring together young and old alike for a variety of activities.
For example, you can stroll through a pop-up village, which will help you understand a little more about how our beloved capital has evolved over the ages, thanks to four themed areas. From the Middle Ages through the Glorious Thirty, nothing (or almost nothing) will escape your notice. Nearly sixty local artisans will be on site, including plenty of options for a bite to eat! And to make your journey back in time even more magical, a historical parade featuring over 1,000 costumed participants will march on Sunday from the Panthéon to the Luxembourg Gardens. It’s a chance to relive nearly 1,500 years of Parisian history right before your eyes, from the origins of Lutetia to the Liberation.
This year, the spotlight will be on Boulevard du Crime, well known for its popular theaters. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore the performing arts throughout the weekend, featuring theater performances, concerts, dance shows, and more… Of course, no festival is complete without music! An orchestra and DJ sets will round out both evenings, and a giant dance party inspired by the Roaring Twenties will bring this wild weekend to a spectacular close. We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait for September!
