Active since 1997, LFSM for Les Femmes S’en Mêlent returns in November with its 25th edition. A committed, passionate and pioneering music festival, the event is a formidable showcase for women’s creativity. From November 14 onwards, discover independent and emerging artists from France and abroad on stages across Paris and the IDF!
LFSM, the music festival committed to women artists
For a quarter of a century, Les Femmes S’en Mêlent has been working to bring female musical artists out of the shadows and offer them stages where they can show themselves, create and express themselves without hindrance! Each year, LFSM unveils a program of concerts over several days and in various venues in Paris and the Ile-de-France region, featuring mainly female artists from different scenes!
Committed, the festival is also enthusiastic, eager for new faces and original proposals. Since its creation in 1997, the festival has always focused on independent artists, emerging projects and the encounter between genres as varied, specialized and unclassifiable as they are (from garage rock to folk to French chanson)!
An anniversary edition with a dozen dates in Paris/IDF
LFSM celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. After an inaugural concert given by Kim Gordon, member of the band Sonic Youth and icon of the New York underground music scene, the festival gets ready to open its doors on November 14!
In Paris, LFSM will take over Point Ephémère, Café de la Danse, Badaboum and Petit Bain, and in the IDF, Marbrerie (Montreuil), Hangar (Ivry-sur-Seine) and other venues. In terms of programming, you’ll be able to see the Spanish indie pop group Melenas, discover the psych-rock of Habibi, delight in the folk of Quebecer Myrian Gendron or let yourself be carried away by the inhabited and magical universe of multidisciplinary artist Regina Demina!
Are you a fan of events with a strong bias and a flair for spotting the best artists of the moment (and of the future)? Don’t miss the 25th edition of Femmes S’en Mêlent (on tour from November 9 in Brest, Toulouse, Nantes, Marseille and other French cities).
