This exhibition pays tribute to the beauty, grandeur and creative power of light. In Into the light, you’ll see how twelve studios and artists have seized upon light to produce works at the crossroads of art, sensory experience and technological challenge! An immersive exhibition to be discovered soon at La Villette.
Into the light, the event to unravel the mysteries of light
How do you exhibit light, that element that is paradoxically so captivating and yet so commonplace? How do you talk about it, how do you stage it to reveal its power and splendor? Into the light, the next exhibition to be held at the Grande Halle de la Villette, raises a number of quasi-philosophical questions about our relationship with light. From April 9 onwards, it will be installing its km of electric cables, neon lights, LED bulbs and other luminous devices, and providing the public with some answers through a range of surprising and immersive works!
An immersive journey to awaken the senses
The works of twelve studios and artists have been brought together in this exhibition, which will take on the air of an immersive journey. These creations will in turn touch on music, contemporary art and technology to offer an aesthetic and sensory journey of the most captivating kind! Your senses will be awakened, if not a little disturbed!
For example, the exhibition will feature Nautilus by Collectif Scale, a surprising work which, although fixed, will give you the impression of moving! Jacqueline Hen’sOSIAOS invites visitors to lie down or walk on midnight-blue sand and enjoy the captivating scenery. Into the light will also intrigue and fascinate, with other works taking different forms: monumental light sculpture, picture screens, a sound and light installation nestled in a container… Come and experience the different powers of light!
