In first place is Jura, with a score of 87.14 out of 100. Jura tops the list of France’s greenest regions, thanks in particular to its land cover (97.9%), percentage of trees (94.7%) and number of green spaces (51.6%). This region, with its luxuriant nature, will give you a change of scenery! An ideal place for those in search of nature.
In second place is Haute-Savoie, with an average score of 79.96. The region stands out for its high percentage of trees (89.4%) and its exceptional number of green spaces (98.9%).
In third place was the Doubs region, which recorded an average score of 78.94, thanks to its impressive biomass density (98.9%) and percentage of tree cover (92.6%). As you can see, this region of France is distinguished by its dense greenery! A veritable oasis of greenery where you can discover charming villages and enjoy some great hiking!
To find Paris in this ranking, we’ll have to wait a long time… The City of Light is at the bottom of the ranking, joining the French territories with the fewest green spaces, with a score of 24.62 out of 100. Nevertheless, the Yvelines are helping to improve the image of the Île-de-France region, moving up to 6ᵉ position in the rankings.
In fact, the capital has virtually no ground coverage, rated at 0/100. However, it makes up for this with its parks and gardens, making it one of the territories with the highest number of such spaces in the national ranking.
