Spanish gastronomy, and more specifically that of the Iberian capital, seems to have caught the eye of Time Out! Indeed, the experts from the local experience website have just compiled their ranking of Europe’s top gastronomic destinations for 2025.
Madrid takes this year’s top spot, ahead of Porto, Naples and Paris. For its methodology, Time Out carried out a large-scale survey of residents in Europe’s major cities, and also gathered the invaluable opinions of its local experts.
In small traditional tavernas or on the terrace, you too can enjoy Madrid’s gastronomy. From cocido madrileño to bocadillos de calamares and huevos rotos, there’s something for everyone in this cuisine with influences from all over Spain.
