Tucked away in the Vallée de Chevreuse, in the Essonne region of France, the village of Janvry is transformed each year into a veritable Christmas market. From November 28 to 30 and December 5 to 7, visit this village like no other, and find unique gifts to put under your Christmas tree.
Janvry: an authentic Christmas village just outside Paris
Just outside Paris, Janvry is a pretty medieval hamlet of over 600 souls. But every year, it transforms itself into a real Christmas village for two weekends! This year, no fewer than 130 exhibitors will be on hand to showcase their specialities: regional products, handicrafts… everything you need to have a great time!

During these two weekends, you’ll be able to admire an exceptional free exhibition of nativity scenes from all over the world! But the highlight of the show is the arrival of Santa Claus, who surprises visitors every year with an increasingly spectacular entrance. On his luminous sleigh, he will spread joy to the hearts of children young and old. Perhaps this will be the opportunity to whisper our gift list in his ear?
Over the course of the two weekends, you’ll be able to admire illuminated parades, take a free ride on the miniature train, ride the merry-go-round and contemplate this magnificent village decked out in its most beautiful winter colors. An enchantment for the whole family!
And if you love Christmas markets, don’t miss the very first one at La Villette! An enchanting place where you’ll find a Swiss village, a natural ice rink and much more.
