That’s the question everyone is asking: when will fall finally arrive in Paris? With the rise in temperatures recorded on Monday, September 28, and Tuesday, September 29, it’s hard to imagine fall-like temperatures. Yet, weather forecast models do indeed predict a sharp drop in temperatures around October 10.
Are autumnal temperatures on the way for Paris?
We’ll admit it—with this Indian summer dragging on, it’s hard to believe the cold will return. And yet, according to experts at Météo-Paris, some scenarios do indeed predict a sharp return of cold air across all of Western Europe.
While this could begin tentatively as early as this Friday— with temperatures dropping from 30°C to 20°C throughout the day—several scenarios suggest that cold air from the north and northeast will move toward Central Europe around October 10.

Temperatures could indeed drop below 5°C in the morning across the northern half of France, according to the European weather analysis model… The American model also follows a fairly similar trend, though with differences in intensity, nature, and trajectory…
As you know, when it comes to the weather, anything can change! But all signs point to the cold weather actually setting in across France—and in Paris— around October 10–13.
