The cirque is coming to town! From September 13, Village de Cirque will set up its cultural and festive program in the 13th arrondissement! Until September 29, fill up on circus shows between friends, with your family, with your kids, as a couple or solo! Much of the festival is free!
The 13th arrondissement transformed into a Circus Village
This weekend, in the 13th arrondissement, we’ll be kicking off festivities placed under the circus theme. From September 13 to 29, the manifestation Village de Cirque sets up its tents and artists at several sites in the arrondissement! The rueWATT, a space dedicated to the circus arts, the rue Watt, the Parc de Choisy and the Jardins Abbé-Pierre Grands Moulins will host the programming for this 20th edition! Whether outdoors or indoors, these circus shows are also for all audiences!
A festival to fill up on circus shows
Animations, surprising artistic proposals, queer fair, free and paying shows, young audience creations… The program highlights circus in all its forms and intends to transform the city and its spaces until the end of September! Over the course of the two-week festival, there will be a number of shows for young audiences and adults alike.
Opening on Friday 13/09, don’t miss the Kermesse du Cirque Queer, a sort of parade between outdoor party and acrobatic parade placed under the theme of gender identities and the body. The show will also be repeated on Saturday 14/09 and Sunday 15/09.
For a feast for the eyes, we also recommend Soka Tira Osoa by Compagnie Basinga. This magical, participatory show led by the talented funambulist Tatiana-Mosio Bongonga will be brought to you at Parc de Choisy on Friday, 09/20 and is free to enter. An absolute must!
Beyond these highlights, there will be so many other artistic propositions to savor, so many universes and artists to discover! Intimate show in the half-light, creation around the ancestral technique of steel jaws… Go with your eyes closed and let yourself be carried away and surprised!
