Known for having inspired Hergé to design the Château de Moulinsart in the world of Tintin, the Château de Cheverny is a real gem! With its sumptuous decor, magnificent gardens and singular history, this estate is even more magical during the holiday season. Until January 18, you can enjoy Christmas at the Château and the traditional festive celebrations.
This enchanted château is transformed for the holidays
With the arrival of December, Cheverny truly changes atmosphere. The estate, already renowned for its elegance and grand-century architecture, is gradually transformed into a fairytale setting. Visitors discover a château completely transformed for the festive season, an event that attracts families, curious onlookers and lovers of fairytale atmospheres every year.
The long driveway now leads to an illuminated facade, delicately decorated with garlands and luminous motifs. Inside, fir trees multiply in the lounges, tables are adorned with festive decorations and fireplaces are adorned with branches, ribbons and golden touches. The tour continues in the gardens, where decorations are also the order of the day. The lawns are adorned with luminous structures, and the century-old trees are also decked out in their winter finery. As night falls, the entire estate lights up to inspire dreams.
Every year, Cheverny imagines new elements to enhance this event. Immersive scenography, giant fir trees, interactive installations and special events punctuate the visit. Young and old alike will be delighted by the enchanting scenery, but also by the historical charm of the site. And for those who like to linger, the boutique awaits you with its carefully selected decorative objects and gift ideas.
Finally, throughout the event, you’ll also be able to take advantage of a variety of activities, including a musical show, a day with Santa Claus and a gourmet meal in the heart of the Orangerie. In short, it’s all there for a magical time.
