For years, we’ve been hearing about the beginnings of a major project on the Parisian cultural landscape. Today, the Pointe des Arts is revealing a little more, showing us the spearhead of these vast works, which is none other than a huge contemporary art center due to see the light of day in 2026.
A new 5,000 m2 art center to open near Paris
Having been brought to life since 2017 by the brilliant Seine Musicale and its no less brilliant programming, the Ile Seguin will once again be energized by the arrival of a major new cultural hub in the region. On the drawing board for several years now, the Pointe des Arts project, a true 53,000 m2 district in its own right, should soon see the light of day.

Among the major projects for the redevelopment of Renault’s former factory island will be an eight-screen cinema, a sculpture-filled garden and a 4-star hotel. But the highlight of this transformation is the immense cultural center that will soon be built.
Spread over 5,000 square metres, it will showcase art in all its forms, mixing disciplines and giving pride of place to French creativity. Behind an impressive panoramic terrace, you’ll find a monumental exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art, a bar and a bookshop that doubles as a boutique.

All we have to do now is wait a little longer to discover all this. And while we’re expecting this immense district to open in 2026, the art center’s first exhibition is scheduled for autumn 2026, so mark your calendars!
