The Undesignable Market is the event at the crossroads of the traditional brocante and the salon du design. For its next edition, the 22nd, the event brings together several brocanteurs and collectors from all over Europe. Calling all fans of twentieth-century furniture!
Undesignable Market, the reference for vintage flea markets
Finding a beautiful piece of vintage furniture can be like an obstacle course! Scouring the antique shops, scouring the ads on resale sites between private individuals or specialized marketplaces, you’ve done it all before and you’re still missing the chest of drawers of your dreams, the one you won’t see everywhere!
The Undesignable Market was born to offer an alternative and to modernize the concept of the brocante, a bit dusty for some.
When it was created in 2015, the Undesignable Market set out to be the missing link between the brocante and the design fair. Today, the market can bring together up to a hundred merchants (compared to a small handful in its early days). What’s more, it has established itself as a must-attend for lovers of design and nineteenth-century furniture.
Twentieth-century furniture, design nuggets and signed pieces
Several times a year, the market moves outdoors. Its 22nd edition takes place on Sunday 29/09 at Jussieu and will bring together several dozen exhibitors, French as well as European. The latter are often design enthusiasts and craft lovers. For each edition, they prepare an ultra-careful selection with pieces in super condition!
60s saloons, cupboards, large dining tables, armchairs, seventies lamps… This market, far more specialized than a brocante lamba, is the ideal place to find the piece you’ve been dreaming of, the one that will make a statement in your interior! This event is also an opportunity to get your eye on “collector” pieces signed by great designers of the last century such as Pierre Paulin, Charlotte Perriand, Charles and Ray Eames or Jean Prouvé!
