Did you know that you can buy a real cobblestone from the Parisian maze? At 29 Rue de Rivoli, inside the Hôtel de Ville, lies a place still unknown to the general public: Paris La Boutique, the capital’s official store. Located in this iconic building, it brings together nearly 800 items that showcase Parisian creativity and craftsmanship.
Genuine Parisian cobblestones for sale in this boutique
Inside, you can find fine foods, stationery, fashion accessories, homewares, and many products bearing the “Made in Paris” label. The selection reflects the cultural identity of the capital, encompassing heritage, architecture, and lifestyle.
Among the most unexpected items, two objects in particular attract attention: real Parisian cobblestones and authentic street signs. These items come from urban furniture renovations. Rather than being destroyed, some are offered for sale. The cobblestones, carved from stone, immediately evoke the image of the capital’s historic streets. The enamel plaques feature the characteristic blue design of Parisian signage, with the official names of the streets.

The City of Paris was the first local authority to develop its own licensed brand nearly ten years ago. The products on offer are made in France and highlight the values associated with the capital: elegance, architectural heritage, iconic locations, and urban culture. They are aimed at both visitors and residents who are attached to their neighborhood.
At the 2024 Paris Fair, the City highlighted this brand and its sub-licensees through an exhibition dedicated to partner expertise. The boutique remains the central point for discovering the entire range throughout the year.
So, to pick up a little piece of the city in an official (and completely legal) way, just head to the Hôtel de Ville.
