The British media, the Financial Times, has just published its selection of the world’s best record shops. Alongside London, New York and Barcelona, Paris features four addresses in this international top!
Which are the best record shops in the world?

Are you always on the lookout for the best places to find the best records, or for a record shop where you can discover the local scene and share your passion without looking at the clock? The renowned Financial Times and its editorial team have published their selection of the world’s most remarkable record shops!
Some forty stores based in Stockholm, Sydney and London are listed, as are some in Paris. The capital even ranks four among the media’s favorite addresses.
Four Parisian record shops in the top
Four stores struck a chord with the editors of the Financial Times.
Among the must-visit addresses is Superfly Records (75003) in the Haut-Marais district, specializing in jazz, soul and bossa nova, to name but a few!
Hark, opened by DJ Louise Chen in 2023, was also a hit with the Financial Times. This boutique, with its stripped-down, raw aesthetic, offers new and second-hand LPs in more general genres! There’s also a turntable repair and audio equipment sales area on the same block!
In the north of Paris, we find Dizonord (75018), one of the capital’s flagship addresses. Located on the rue André-Messager, the store has been selling a cutting-edge selection of records of all kinds since 2019, and is a must for fans of specialized music and curious ears!
Finally, the last address to have been singled out is Bar Italia. This record shop and café, close to Père Lachaise, will serve you the best of Italian music, indie music and, of course, delizioso coffee!
