An all-night electro-pop party with Synapson
This summer event, now a fixture on the scene after six editions, transforms the Parc des Dryades into a green amphitheater for two evenings, July 16 and 17. The first night is already sold out: Laurent Voulzy, one of the most low-key artists in French music, will take the stage for a rare concert, with young pop-folk artist Maïa Bloom as the opening act.
The second evening takes a completely different turn. Dubbed “Nuit Blanche,” it requires festivalgoers to wear all-white, turning them into an integral part of the scenery. On stage, the electro-pop duo Synapson—a must-see since 2010—delivers a highly anticipated live performance, before giving way to DJ sets by Carla Mo and Savonette, blending house and techno. The Baule Jazz Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary
It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful setting thana park dotted with century-old pine trees to celebrate a quarter-century of existence. That’s exactly what this jazz festival offers—one that, over the years, has become one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer season in the region. From July 29 to 31, three nights of concerts will take place , with a lineup that blends international legends and up-and-coming artists as opening acts.
The festival kicks off gently with the Sébastien Troendlé Trio, followed by Lluis Coloma and Lou Marini, the legendary saxophonist from the Blues Brothers. The next day, the mood shifts with Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez, accompanied by percussionist Pedrito Martinez and bassist Richard Bona, for a concert blending Afrobeat and Caribbean rhythms. Finally, the festival will close with Uros Peric and his “Tribute to Ray Charles.”
