Imagine yourself suspended on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, attached to a gondola with your feet in the air. In the blink of an eye, you’re dropped 120 metres into the air, for an insane freefall. Is it a dream or reality? Whatever the case, the company that manages the iconic monument announced on Instagram that it would be offering this insane attraction from April onwards. So, will you try this crazy experience?
A new surprise attraction at the heart of the Eiffel Tower
In the early hours of April 1, the first passers-by found themselves stunned in front of the Iron Lady. A colorful gondola hanging from a 120cm pillar had been installed overnight, unveiling a never-before-seen attraction. Called “I fell Tower”, the experience offers a few brave souls the chance to climb aboard the gondola, which rises to a height of 120 metres to the 2nd floor. After a few seconds of suspense, it’s free fall for a few moments. For the first people to try it out, it’s said that their screams could be heard as far away as the Arc de Triomphe – that’s how synonymous this attraction is with thrills.
So, did you take the bait? For those who still believe it, it’s the Eiffel Tower’s traditional April Fool’s Day! After the fake hotel perched on the top floor of the tower, the monument’s teams struck again this year, making people believe in this crazy attraction via an Instagram post. We owe the video to origiful, an artist who uses 3D animation (not artificial intelligence) to create surreal and fun videos. Rest assured, there won’t be any such experiences at the Eiffel Tower anytime soon…
On the other hand, if you’re looking for a little thrill, you’ll be pleased to know that you can walk on a suspended bridge in the air on the second floor of the Tower, and we promise you it’s no April fool’s joke.
