At the end of the year, the Musée Zadkine presents an outstanding exhibition dedicated to Art Deco. The program includes almost 90 works highlighting the links between the sculptor and the movement. An unmissable cultural event!
This autumn, the Musée Zadkine honours the Art Deco movement
For a hundred years now, Art Deco has amazed Parisians in some of the world’s finest institutions. From Le Louxor and the Molitor swimming pool to the superb Vaudeville brasserie, this architectural trend is everywhere in Paris! In 2025, this trend will be paralleled by sculpture, thanks to a superb exhibition at the Musée Zadkine. One of the year-end cultural highlights not to be missed!
Over 90 works, including sculptures, furniture and decorative objects from prestigious private collections, will be on display in an immersive scenography right in the historic studio. The exhibition will highlight Zadkine’s affinities with major designers of the 1920s-1930s, such as Eileen Gray, André Groult and Marc Du Plantier. With Zadkine Art Déco, the museum invites us to discover a lesser-known facet of the sculptor, rooted in the elegance of the 1920s-30s. It’s a rare opportunity to observe how a modernist sculptor forged links with the refined world of the decorative arts.
See you at the Musée Zadkine on November 15. Nestled in the heart of the 6th arrondissement, a stone’s throw from the Jardin du Luxembourg, this institution is housed in the studio-home that Ossip Zadkine occupied from 1928 to 1967, before it was transformed into a museum in 1982.
