At the foot of Montmartre Hill, there are countless great dining spots. Among them, Almanach Montmartre stands out with its concept that bridges the gap between a fine restaurant and an art gallery. A hybrid space where you can enjoy great food and be inspired.
Art Deco, paintings, and fine dining take center stage
The concept was born from the desire of its chef and owner, Léo Giorgis, to bring together his two passions: cooking and art. After stints at Apicius, L’Arcane, and Silencio, the chef envisioned a place where the dishes evolve at the same pace as the artworks hanging on the walls.
Because here, the exhibitions are an integral part of the experience. Several times a year, the restaurant hosts artist residencies that take over the dining room. Currently, the creations of Sylviane Brandouy accompany the meals, transforming the restaurant into a small gallery for a few months.

As for the decor, even though paintings adorn the walls, the spirit of the contemporary bistro remains very much present. With its wood paneling, large mirrors, velvet banquettes, andArt Deco-inspired lines, L’Almanach cultivates an elegant atmosphere that extends this artistic aspect.
On the plate, Léo Giorgis also enjoys venturing off the beaten path. His cuisine navigates between French inspirations and influences from elsewhere, with a clear penchant for unexpected combinations. The menu changes regularly with the seasons. It features dishes centered around herbs, spices, or ingredients that are sometimes rarely used in classic bistronomic cuisine.

On the evening menu, the various set menus allow us to discover the chef’s entire culinary universe. This summer, à la carte options include, for example, delicious langoustine bonbons wrapped in brick pastry, sea bass carpaccio with buckwheat, or a refreshing peach and burrata salad. For the main course, you’ll have a tough choice between guinea fowl, duck breast, pollock, or forest-style ravioli. Then comes dessert, and our favorite is a beautiful chocolate mousse with olive oil.
Another notable detail: the wine cellar showcases French wines, carefully selected to complement this dynamic cuisine.
At a time when many restaurants seek to stand out through their decor or concept, L’Almanach Montmartre has chosen a more unique path: creating a dialogue between the artworks on display and the dishes served. This approach allows the restaurant to reinvent itself regularly and gives guests a good reason to return. It’s up to you!
