Storm Austen: Showers and Gusts
Be careful if you’re on the go or planning to hit the road on Friday! Météo France is forecasting strong winds in Paris and the Île-de-France region, reaching up to 90 km/h. This is particularly the case in Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne, and Val-d’Oise. These winds may also be accompanied by showers in some areas, with 3 to 6 millimeters of precipitation.
In Normandy and Brittany, winds could even exceed 100 km/h. So be careful if you plan to travel, especially overnight from Friday to Saturday. Due to this yellow alert, parks and gardens may close to ensure your safety. Similarly, trains and RER services may be canceled if the situation warrants it…
The situation could continue throughout Saturday before conditions are expected to return to normal on Sunday. As for temperatures, they’re plummeting! Highs on Friday are expected to reach a maximum of 12°C, and barely 16°C on Saturday!
