New bike lanes in Paris
It’s official! The City of Paris has just unveiled its new 2027–2032 cycling plan, and here’s the good news: your bike will take you even farther. The city has announced 140 kilometers of additional bike lanes, as well as 220 km of two-way bike lanes. In addition, nearly 420 intersections will be made safer to ensure the safety of both cyclists and pedestrians! This is good news for all road users.
Specifically, the areas involved are located on Avenue Ledru-Rollin in the 11th arrondissement, Avenue du Docteur-Netter in the 12th, Avenue Jean-Moulin in the 14th, the Grenelle Bridge, Rue de Rome in the 17th, and Rue des Pyrénées on the 20th arrondissement side.

What’s more, over 400 intersections will be made safer! This includes Place de Clichy, Place de Bataille-de-Stalingrad, and the area around the Pont de la Concorde. These areas will gradually be equipped with traffic lights to improve the flow of traffic between bikes and vehicles, as well as colorful road markings.
Finally, the city promises to create new bike parking spaces, as well as to develop a specialized motorized unit to combat violence against cyclists and pedestrians. That’s sure to put a smile on your face!
