Forget those gloomy Halloween pumpkins: this fall, the Jardin d’Acclimatation invites you to Mexico to celebrate El Día de los Muertos. The park will be transformed into a hacienda, with cempasúchil flowers everywhere, mariachis, and a variety of activities to celebrate death—but above all, life!
El Día de los Muertos returns to the Jardin d’Acclimatation

Once again this year, the Jardin d’Acclimatation has planned something grand! In particular, you’ll be able to cruise along the enchanted river aboard ghostly boats. Along the way, you’ll encounter calaveras—those cheerful-looking skeletons—throughout your magical cruise.
Then, head back to dry land to lose yourself in the Mayan maze. Amid deceptive mirrors and dead ends, you’ll have to find your way to the exit… Finally, what would the Jardin d’Acclimatation be without a ride? The Samba de Los Muertos is a new ride featuring hot-air balloons decorated with flower-adorned calaveras that spin and twirl through the air! It’s sure to give you a rush of adrenaline and fun!

As for the activities, you’re in for a real treat. Every Wednesday and on weekends, a face-painting booth will transform you into a true Catrina—that famous colorful skeleton mask that symbolizes the Day of the Dead!
An all-female mariachi band will wander the paths and take the main stage every Wednesday and weekend from October 4 to 17 at 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 5 p.m., then daily from October 18 to November 2 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. The show is free and included with park admission.
Finally, every evening at 6:30 p.m. during school break, catrinas, dancers, mariachis, and fire performers gather on the Main Stage for an unforgettable, free finale! In short, it’s the perfect way to let your imagination run wild and be dazzled by the spectacle!
