This year, Printemps’ Christmas program won’t stop at its animated window displays. Two days after their unveiling, the department store will once again open its ice rink perched on the 7th floor of Printemps Femme, with the rooftops of Paris and the Eiffel Tower in the background. It will be open from November 7, 2026, through January 3, 2027.
Away from the large crowds, the 105-square-meter ice rink will be designed to accommodate about fifteen people at a time. Twelve 30-minute sessions are scheduled each day, between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Above all, this intimate setting allows visitors to enjoy the panoramic view without finding themselves in the middle of a crowd of skaters.
30 minutes of free skating above Paris
Good news: admission will be completely free, but reservations are required on the Printemps website. The rink will be open to anyone age 6 and up, and gloves are required to enter the rink. Nearly 9,000 participants are expected over the entire period, which should make certain time slots—particularly on weekends in December—quite busy.

A gourmet stand will also be set up on the terrace to extend your break after your 30-minute skate. This year, the installation will complement the Christmas theme chosen by Printemps: “A Knitted Christmas.” Starting November 5, the store windows on Boulevard Haussmann will also feature 160 hand-sewn and hand-embroidered characters, including cats, mice, and giant balls of yarn.
Location: Printemps Haussmann, 64 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris
Dates: November 7, 2026, through January 3, 2027, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., free with reservation
