As you’ve no doubt noticed, this summer, the entire RATP network (or nearly so) underwent renovation work. And that’s been a real headache for Parisians! Delays, slowed-down or canceled trains… In response, Valérie Pécresse announced yesterday a special refund for the Navigo pass… And you might be eligible!
How can you get a refund for your Navigo pass?
This one-time refund applies only to passengers with season passes for Lines L and J, which have been particularly affected by major disruptions in recent months… In fact, between March and July, several trains were canceled—and this went on for several weeks. Between 5 and 20% of trains were completely taken out of service, leaving thousands of Parisians stranded…
A situation made much worse by the storm that struck in late June, which caused a complete shutdown of service between Poissy and Les Mureaux from June 28 to July 5 on Line J.

To be eligible for this refund, you must have held a Navigo pass for at least 4 months ( during the period affected by the disruptions, from March to June). You must also live, study, or work in areas near the affected routes…
Does this apply to you? If so, you’re eligible for a refund equivalent to half a month’s fare for Line L or a full month’s fare for Line J (90.80 euros), excluding stations within Paris city limits. The passes covered are the annual Navigo pass, the monthly Navigo pass, and the Imagine R pass. You can submit your request entirely online via the Navigo customer compensation portal. Please note, however, that you have until October 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. to submit your claim; after that, it will be too late.
