During Fashion Week, there are those whose names are on the guest list… and everyone else. Lyas decided to bring the latter group together. Since 2025, the Watch Party has made the hardest-to-attend fashion shows much more accessible to fashion enthusiasts. A giant screen, live reactions, and post-show discussions: here, no invitation from a major fashion house is necessary. Women’s Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Week returns to Paris from September 28 to October 6. The phenomenon is back.
It all began with a Dior invitation that never arrived
June 2025: Jonathan Anderson is preparing to present his very first men’s runway show for Dior. The event is one of the most anticipated of the season. Lyas, though already well-established in the fashion scene on social media, isn’t invited.
Rather than watching the show alone in front of his screen, he decided to gather his community at a Parisian bar. The idea? To watch the livestream together. The Watch Party was born.
The concept couldn’t be simpler: watching a fashion show just as you would watch a major soccer match. You comment on the outfits, applaud, and debate. Once the final look has passed, you debrief. It’s a much less silent and formal way to experience a show.
From a Parisian bar to La Caserne: a phenomenon that has continued to grow
Within a few months, the small, impromptu gathering took on a whole new scale. The Watch Party first followed Fashion Month to London and Milan. In September 2025, it returned to Paris for S/S 2026 and was held for the first time at La Caserne.
A few months later, the concept crossed the Atlantic to New York. Then it returned to La Caserne for Men’s Fashion Week.
In March 2026, a new chapter began: the Watch Party moved to the Théâtre du Châtelet. A few months later, it even left the fashion capitals behind for a tour of several French cities.
In barely a year, the gathering organized in a bar has become an event followed by thousands of enthusiasts. For S/S 2027, the venue is once again La Caserne. Visitors will find its 3.5-meter giant screen, now an iconic feature of the event.
Matières Fécales, Balenciaga, Rick Owens, Chanel… what’s in store for us this season
This time around, the schedule is already packed. The Watch Party will kick things off on September 28 with Matières Fécales. This first evening will take place at a location that’s still being kept under wraps.
There’s no Paris event on September 29, but a Saint Laurent livestream is scheduled for Brussels. The Paris Watch Party will resume on September 30 with Tom Ford.
Then comes the day you won’t want to miss: October 1. On the schedule, livestreams from Chloé, Balenciaga, Rick Owens, and Isabel Marant will follow one after another.
The rest of the schedule is just as packed. Yohji Yamamoto and Victoria Beckham are on the lineup, followed by Vivienne Westwood, Miu Miu, Valentino, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Finally, Chanel and Matthieu Blazy will close out this edition on October 5.
Several shows will also feature fashion personalities. Carine Roitfeld will be present for Tom Ford, and Loïc Prigent for Balenciaga. Daphne Guinness will accompany Rick Owens, and Style Not Com will be there for Chloé. Eva Chen will be present for Gaultier. This is sure to transform a simple livestream into a true live fashion debrief.

Front row without the guest list
Perhaps that’s where the real appeal of the phenomenon lies. Sure, some fashion houses already stream their shows online. But the Watch Party completely changes the way we watch them.
Gone are the days of watching the show alone on your phone. Here, you experience it surrounded by people who share the same passion.
The front row is usually reserved for journalists, buyers, celebrities, and guests of the fashion houses. Lyas turned that logic on its head. An interest in fashion counts for more than having one’s name on a guest list.
In previous editions, admission was free and no reservation was required. This allowed hundreds of people to gather for the same show.
The Watch Party is back for Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Week
The next Paris Women’s Fashion Week will take place from September 28 to October 6, 2026. Lyas’s Watch Party will also take place that week with several events.
One thing, however, has changed since that infamous missing Dior invitation. Today, being left off the guest list no longer necessarily means experiencing Fashion Week from so far away.
And in the end, maybe that was the idea fashion was missing: a front row where no one asks to see an invitation.
