Victor Le Masne, the man behind the heady anthem of the Paris Olympics, will be performing in concert. You’ll be able to applaud him in spring at the Grand Rex in June 2025!
An Olympic summer for Victor Le Masne
It’s the song that set the rhythm for your summer, the tune that seeped into your ears: “Parade”, the upbeat anthem of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games ceremony! This melody that everyone has been humming, we owe to Victor Le Masne!
A classically trained composer, producer and musician, Le Masne had several lives before the Olympics. Collaborator with renowned ensembles and orchestras, musical director of Starmania, close to the French touch scene and groups such as Air and Pheonix, he also co-founded the pop-rock duo Housse de Racket in 2005.
In 2021, Victor Le Masne already had one foot in the Olympics with his rendition of “La Marseillaise ” played at the handover ceremony between the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games. Then the year 2024 arrived!
Much more than the composer of the summer hit “Parade”, Le Masne was, above all, the musical director of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
A new album, a Grammy nomination and a concert
After a summer in the spotlight, Victor Le Masne isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! The artist recently released Music From the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, an album featuring a collection of compositions taken from the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games. He has also just been nominated for a Grammy Award alongside Gojira and Marina Viotti for “Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)”.
The latest good news is that the artist will be in concert next year! On June 13, he will be giving a brand-new retrospective concert. Accompanied by a symphony orchestra, Victor Le Masne will be at the Grand Rex to perform some of the songs that left their mark on the Olympics, as well as other compositions from his repertoire! A grandiose show, emotion and surprises guaranteed!
