New night train alert! From Paris to Courchevel, La Plagne or Val d’Isère
From winter 2025, a new night train, the Travelski Night Express, will link Paris to the French Alps in less than 10 hours. Developed with Pegasus Trains (a subsidiary of Compagnie des Alpes), this service will enable passengers to leave on Friday evening, and arrive directly at the foot of the resorts on Saturday morning. A considerable time-saver, to optimize weekend getaways. More concretely, the Travelski Night Express will link Paris to Bourg-Saint-Maurice in Savoie.
It will serve eight emblematic Alpine destinations in the valley: Courchevel, Les Arcs, La Plagne, Tignes, Méribel, Val d’Isère, Val Thorens and Les Ménuires. In all, the new night train will operate 14 round trips between Paris and Bourg-Saint-Maurice. From December 19, 2025 to March 20, 2026. The journey will take around 8 hours, and is part of an eco-responsible approach, offering an alternative to travelling by car or plane.
A comfortable sleeper train from Paris, to wake up at the foot of the slopes
But what about the comfort of the Travelski Night Express? On board, 660 brand-new couchettes await passengers. There will also be a bar car and even a restaurant. For bookings, the company has set up all-inclusive packages, to enable customers to travel hassle-free. The complete package includes train travel, transfers, accommodation, ski pass and ski equipment. At dawn, travelers will arrive directly at Moutiers, Aime or Bourg-Saint-Maurice station. This is where their transfer will be waiting for them, to the resort of their choice.
And on arrival, everything will be simplified to make the most of the slopes, thanks to equipment and ski passes already reserved and an on-site luggage service. At the end of the afternoon, after a transfer to the Travelski Night Express, mountain lovers can spend a restful night in their sleeper train. It’s the perfect way to get away from it all, breathe in the frosty air and hit the slopes without wasting time in transit. Stay tuned, reservations open in May!
