Every evening in Paris, many theater seats remain empty. TicketNunc, which aims to combat “cultural waste”, enables partner theaters to sell these empty seats at knock-down prices. An opportunity to make performances more accessible, while at the same time filling theatres!
The “Too Good To Go” of culture
If you’re sensitive to the fight against food waste, you’ve undoubtedly come across the concept of Too Goo Too Go. The app, in partnership with numerous restaurants and shops, offers its users baskets at knock-down prices, mainly made up of unsold items. Take the same principle and apply it to the field of culture, and theater in particular, and you’ve got TicketNunc.
A contraction of “Hic et Nunc” (meaning Here and Now), this new platform is the fruit of the creativity of four 22-year-old students. All you have to do is choose from the pieces on offer and book, at prices up to 50% off. The only prerequisite? The performance in question must take place on the same day, the following day or 72 hours after purchase.
After the €10 tickets offered by Théâtres et Producteurs Associés, a new initiative to make theater more accessible has been added to our options. It’s an initiative that’s good for young people, but also a boost for the sector, which is going through a bit of a budget crisis. So, for your next cultural outing as a couple, with friends or family, you know what you have to do!
