An institution of laughter in the heart of the 18th arrondissement

In the thriving Parisian comedy scene, certain venues stand out as true landmarks. This comedy club in the 18th arrondissement is clearly one of those institutions that matter. Here, nothing is left to chance; each evening is planned with high standards, curiosity, and a genuine desire for inclusivity, striving as much as possible for gender parity on stage.
Set in a decor and atmosphere inspired by New York comedy clubs, the venue invites total immersion. Soft lighting, proximity to the artists, bursts of laughter—everything comes together to create the perfect stand-up experience. Whether you’re there to laugh, discover new talent, or simply have a good evening, you know why you’re walking through the doors of this club!
Two flagship events structure the program— Comedy Night, dedicated to established comedians, and La Nouvelle Vague, which highlights emerging artists supported by La Scène Barbès. These two complementary events guarantee a carefully curated, thoughtful, and meticulous program, true to the spirit of the venue.
Varied formats and a strong commitment to artists

The richness of this comedy club also lies in the diversity of its formats. In addition to the main shows (Comedy Night and La Nouvelle Vague), there is the Scène Ouverte, an open mic night organized by the Académie d’Humour, perfect for discovering new talent or seeing artists try, dare, and reveal themselves. It should be noted that only artists performing on this open stage on Sundays are paid via a tip jar at the exit.
As for shows, Félix Junier performs every Saturday at 6:00 p.m. (and some Sundays at 5:30 p.m.), while regular showcases feature Ayrton Gomes, Alicia C’est tout, La Cab Cab, Reda Saoui, and Richard Sabak, depending on the week. It’s a dynamic program that makes you want to come back again and again.
Here, there is no mandatory tip jar; the ticket price directly includes the artists’ remuneration, a clear way to support the status of intermittent workers and promote the value of stage work. And the good news is that there is no obligation to purchase anything. Everyone is free to enjoy the bar and on-site dining—burgers and tapas—or simply savor the show.
