The Little Prince: the new immersive odyssey from Atelier des Lumières
The Little Prince is the world’s most translated novel, with 600 official versions and 5 million copies sold every year. It’s a cultural phenomenon whose iconic character continues to transcend generations! Culturespaces has created an exhibition to match this legacy. In collaboration with the Succession Antoine de Saint Exupéry, the studio – world leader in the design, production and distribution of immersive, large-format exhibitions– tackles the apple of the French writer’s eye, wearing many hats: novelist, poet, aviator and reporter.
It takes place at the Atelier des Lumières, a vibrant cultural venue in the 11ᵉ arrondissement of Paris. This one-of-a-kind creation – “tu seras pour moi unique au monde” as the Little Prince said to the rose – brings to life the words and watercolors that populate the aviator’s notebooks, taking young and old on a poetic journey to another planet.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s major work, a timeless classic of literature, is brought to light as never before in this immersive exhibition, inviting visitors to discover or rediscover this truly global phenomenon through a new prism. The imaginary world of the novel and the watercolors that illustrate it permeate the space of the Atelier des Lumières, embracing the structure of the venue from walls to floor.
Visitors discover or relive the adventures of the main character. His dreamlike encounters with roses, foxes and snakes, his crossing of the desert and his discovery of the planets, as they lose all sense of time and space, giving way to reverie. And while we all know that “what’s essential is invisible to the eye“, this audiovisual gem is sure to dazzle. Experience a moment suspended in time at the Atelier des Lumières!
