The emblematic Foire du Trône is back! From April 4, 2025, the event will take place on the Pelouse de Reuilly, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. Rides, attractions, thrills, regressive delights, fireworks… We don’t know about you, but we at Paris Secret can’t wait!
Once upon a time, France’s oldest funfair!
Europe’s biggest funfair, France’s biggest and oldest fair… the Foire du Trône is all these things. In the past, it was commonly known as the “Fête aux Pains d’Épices”. In those days, it was the place to meet acrobats and gamekeepers, and to discover stalls selling gingerbread, pastries and all manner of fancy goods. It was finally in 1965 that the fair now known as the Foire du Trône moved to the Pelouse de Reuilly, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris.
Since then, young and old alike have eagerly awaited the annual Foire du Trône. The 10-hectare site boasts no fewer than 350 attractions. Ferris wheels, ghost trains, flying chairs, roller coasters… thrill-seekers are always in for a treat at the Foire du Trône. Gourmets, meanwhile, enjoy a well-deserved break at the stands selling cotton candy, crêpes, churros, marshmallows and candy apples, among other sweet treats.
La Foire du Trône, vintage 2025
Remember in 2024, the famous Parisian fair was cut short. The reason? It had to lend its lawn to the Paris 2024 Olympic events. But this year, the legendary Foire du Trône returns in its usual spring format. This year, the fairgrounds will be open from Friday, April 4, until Monday, June 9, 2025.
