In numerology, the year 2026 represents Year 1: the year of renewal, of new projects and new intentions that will guide you in your personal and professional life. This year, we wanted to highlight small associations with big hearts. The ones we don’t notice, but which do amazing work in Paris (and elsewhere): animal rescue, help for the elderly and the most disadvantaged… Here are the editor’s favorite associations to support this year!
YouCare
Founded by veterinarian Thomas Moreau, YouCare works to protect animal life and biodiversity. Their missions are varied: rescuing abandoned or mistreated animals, animal mediation, reforestation programs, adoptions… To follow their actions is sometimes to shed a tear, but above all to rediscover hope. A wonderful association to follow closely!
Kitties in Paris
A lifelong cat lover, Nastassja Renard founded her association in 2021. Since then, more than 𝟕𝟎𝟎 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐞́𝐭𝐞́ 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐞́𝐭𝐞́ 𝐛𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞́𝐬. Volunteers take care of abandoned, stray or mistreated kittens from France, Greece, Tunisia or Lebanon, with a single aim: to find them a family for life. And believe us, love is never far away! Kitties in Paris takes great care in selecting the families for these adorable cats, to guarantee them the sweetest of homes.
Le Trèfle 2.0

This lovely association offers a completely free and anonymous active listening service every evening, all year round, from 8pm to 11pm. Trained by a range of mental health professionals, volunteers are on hand every evening to provide non-judgmental, caring support to those in need. An association with a heart for all those in fragile mental health, whether psychological or emotional.
Solid’Elles
This wonderful association supports all women facing difficulties. Whether it’s burn-out, harassment in the workplace or domestic violence,Solid’Elles helps every woman find a concrete, tailor-made solution.
O cœur de la rue

Every Saturday, this association helps students, the homeless and families in precarious situations by providing hot meals, cooked with love. Some 400 dishes are prepared and distributed the same evening, free of charge. A family association, where you too can lend a hand. You don’t need any qualifications, just a smile and a helping hand.
Paris in company

In 2017, 50% of people over 70 lived alone in Paris. Faced with this damning finding, and in order to combat the isolation of our elders, the association Paris en compagnie was born. The aim? To give a little free time to the elderly. It could be a walk in the neighborhood, a stroll in the park, a medical appointment, an errand to run, a phone call… It’s all about putting a smile on people’s faces and, above all, creating links between generations.
