One of the most eagerly awaited festivals of summer 2026 has just announced Katy Perry, Linkin Park and Rod Stewart as its headliners, and the host capital is perfect for a getaway just 2 hours from Paris.

These three renowned artists confirm their presence on stage at the Rock in Rio festival in Lisbon in June 2026.

For years, Rock in Rio has included some of the greatest talents on today’s music scene in its line-up. Who remembers Amy Winehouse at the 2008 edition in Madrid? Emblematic. Next summer, it’s Portugal’s turn: on June 20, 21, 27 and 28, the Rock in Rio festival returns to Lisbon – only a 2-hour flight from Paris – with such prestigious names as Katy Perry, Linkin Park (with Emily Armstrong on vocals), rock legend Rod Stewart, west-coat rap group Cypress Hill, Brazilian Pedro Sampaio, Grandson, Calema, NAPA, Kaiser Chiefs… Tickets for the festival are already on sale, and the Portuguese capital could well be at the top of your list of getaways for 2026…

Rock in Rio Lisbon 2026

A two-and-a-half-hour flight separates Paris from a festival with an ultra-eclectic line-up, which in 2026 will feature pop and rock legends such as Katy Perry, Linkin Park and the iconic Rod Stewart. This is your chance to kill two birds with one stone by seeing your favorite artists on stage, while enjoying a city break in Lisbon, one of Europe’s most vibrant capitals!

June 20 will feature Katy Perry, but also Pedro Sampaio, a Brazilian music producer, DJ and singer who mixes urban genres such as funk, pop and electronic music with Brazilian sounds like forró and piseiro, will also perform on the Rock in Rio stage. These artists will be joined by Calema, the brothers from Sao Tomé-et-Principe, experts when it comes to making audiences dance with their Afropop and kizomba sounds (to understand the stratospheric phenomenon they have provoked among Portuguese audiences, we recommend you listen to A Nossa Vez); and NAPA, the pop-rock band straight from Madeira.

On June 21, Linkin Park will herald the start of summer on the second day of the festival. A much-anticipated concert in this new phase of the band’s career, featuring the recognizable voice of Emily Armstrong. Cypress Hill will add a touch of west-coast rap to the line-up, sharing the stage with Grandson and Kaiser Chiefs : an eclectic program.

Finally, on June 27, Rod Stewart will return to set the Rock in Rio stage alight, following his acclaimed, legendary appearances in 1985, 2008 and 2015.
