As you know, Paris is full of secret places, charming corners and famous addresses. That’s why we love it so much, isn’t it? If you’re not used to hanging out in the 15ᵉ arrondissement, we suggest you run to Café du Commerce. Their credo? “Traditional cuisine in an exceptional setting”. And you’ll see that in 100 years, the recipe for one of Paris’s oldest bouillons has hardly changed…
One of the oldest bouillons in Paris nestled in the heart of the 15ᵉ

In its sumptuous listed decor, one thing will immediately strike you: it’s the light, which bathes the restaurant throughout the day. It has to be said that, with its large glass roofs and lush plants scattered throughout its three levels, Café du Commerce is a real eye-catcher. With its multicolored tile mosaic floor, black-and-white waiters and old-fashioned decor, there’s a gentle whiff of old France here, just the way we like it. A place with soul and history!

Founded in 1921, this former three-storey store was originally a neighborhood bouillon, catering to workers in automobile factories. Indeed, during the Second World War, the owner at the time, Monsieur Paul, became famous for setting modest prices in his establishment… Even today, prices remain relatively reasonable , with a starter-main course-coffee menu at 19.60 euros. Quite right for the neighborhood, and for the reputation of the place!

And what’s on the menu? Great classics: eggs mayonnaise for starters, bone marrow, Aveyron sausage with homemade mashed potatoes or chocolate fondant with a scoop of ice cream. The cuisine is simple, with a focus on quality products and, above all, typically French dishes that are a pleasure to enjoy all year round.
