The Palais de la Découverte has been undergoing a complete transformation since 2020, and will be relocated in ephemeral form in 2021 with Les Étincelles. The result will be the reopening of one of the most enriching venues in Paris, and a totally transformed one at that! We look forward to seeing you on June 11, 2025!
The totally transformed Palais de la Découverte reopens in June
Since its creation in 1937, the Palais de la Découverte has never before undergone a complete renovation. This has now been the case since 2020, the year in which the major works were undertaken. Once the work is complete, the cultural venue housed in the sumptuous Palais d’Antin will open in two stages: the children’s gallery will reopen on June 11, while the rest of the building will be inaugurated in the autumn.
Great news in itself, but the reopening of the Palais de la Découverte is not the only good news. In fact, the aptly-named science museum will be reopening with a new offer, new rooms and a redesigned itinerary. The new spaces will include six “laboratories”, each dedicated to a particular immersive experience.
For example, the brand-new planetarium will fill your eyes with wonder and wonder, the XXL greenhouse will take you on a jungle trip, and the ” islands of curiosity” will feature mini exhibitions. We can’t wait to see what’s new and exciting. And while the very latest technology will be used to provide us with great experiences, it’s also worth noting that everything has been designed to have the lowest possible environmental impact!
Now all we have to do is wait patiently before we can discover all this!
