Dive into the heart of the Olympic and Paralympic Games
For the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the “Pavillon Gabriel” in Paris becomes the “Pavillon EDF”! On the Champs-Elysées, the Pavillon Gabriel recently underwent a metamorphosis, transforming itself into an immense immersive space, accessible free of charge. But in concrete terms: what’s in store for you? And what is the essence of this project? The idea behind this ephemeral venue: to highlight sport and energy innovations via several ultra-interactive theme rooms. Right now at the Pavillon EDF, visitors can discover 180° projections, experience meditative spaces and try out numerous virtual reality games. Thanks to this immersive experience, tourists and sports-loving Parisians can put themselves in the shoes of Olympic and Paralympic athletes, in the most entertaining way possible.
Olympic swimming pool, canoeing and para-athletics track
While exploring the rooms, visitors will come across a para-athletics track. Seated in an armchair, they can experience it in virtual reality. It’s a great way of showcasing the achievements of these athletes and promoting inclusion. At the heart of another area, a real Olympic swimming pool awaits visitors. A life-size room that will leave no one indifferent. Our favorite? Take a canoeing trip in virtual reality, to make the experience even more fun and interactive.
An incredible FREE immersive experience at the EDF Pavilion
And at the Pavillon EDF, each space seems more immersive than the next. Yes, everything has been thought through to the last detail. A special mention goes to “Les douches sonores”, a room that resembles a swimming pool changing room, where shower heads replace traditional helmets. In this highly unusual space, the voices of four athletes will tell you all about the links between EDF and the world of sport. Then there’s “Le Playground”, the centerpiece of the Pavillon EDF, inviting you to take a plunge into the aquatic world.
Giant buoys, XXL goggles… never has an Olympic swimming pool been so attractive! A canoe-kayak simulator, photocalls, interactive and instructive areas for children, disability awareness… In addition to being FREE, the experience couldn’t be more successful. EDF got wet, and the result is there.
