Have you ever dreamed of sleeping surrounded by exotic animals? Now you can, thanks to the lodges at Parrot World, an amazing and unusual wildlife park dedicated to South American fauna and its most iconic species, located near Crécy-la-Chapelle in Seine-et-Marne. Built to resemble a real Amazonian jungle, it has been delighting young and old alike since its inauguration. And this summer, a truly exotic getaway awaits you there…
The unusual outing of the summer: nights in lodges surrounded by animals
Created by the Parrot Wildlife Foundation, the animal park—which is one of the largest aviaries in Europe —is home to a beautiful population of animals native to the Amazon and Patagonia. Its inhabitants include capybaras, Humboldt penguins, jaguars, and giant otters. But the other stars of the show are the birds, with more than 500 species living in the park! From parrots to flamingos and ibises, colorful birds are everywhere in the giant aviary.
In addition to spotting animals during your adventures, you can also take part in numerous fun and educational workshops and activities. From the animals’ environment to their feeding and care, you’ll become an expert on the subject thanks to the entire Parrot World team with the “Caretaker for a Day” activity. Perhaps the most unusual activity in the park is that you can extend your visit overnight by staying in a lodge!
In the heart of this Amazonian jungle, five absolutely amazing lodges have been set up with various themes: “Amazon,” “Jaguars,” and “Pantanal.” Equipped with bay windows and balconies, they allow you to spend a magical night inside the park and enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna up close. This magical night will also include a meal at the Panoramic restaurant, a delicious breakfast, and a special activity with an animal keeper just before the park opens to the public.
All in all, a truly off-the-beaten-track experience awaits you this summer, just a stone’s throw from the capital. It’s up to you!
