Ever dreamed of sleeping among exotic animals? Now you can, thanks to the lodges at Parrot World, an astonishing and unusual wildlife park dedicated to South American fauna and its most emblematic species, which has taken up residence near Crécy-la-Chapelle in Seine-et-Marne. Built like a real Amazonian jungle, the park has enchanted young and old alike since its inauguration. And for this summer of 2025, a highly exotic outing awaits you…
This summer’s unusual outing: nights in lodges surrounded by animals
Created by the Parrot Wildlife Foundation, the animal park – which is also one of Europe’s largest aviaries – is home to a large population of animals from Amazonia and Patagonia. Among its inhabitants are capybaras, Humboldt penguins, jaguars and giant otters. But the other stars of the area are also the birds, over 500 of which inhabit the park! From parrots to flamingos and ibises, the giant aviary is teeming with colorful birds.
As well as spotting animals during your tribulations, you can also take part in numerous fun and educational workshops and activities. From the animals’ environment to their feeding and care, you’ll learn all you need to know from the Parrot World team with the Soigneur d’un jour activity. Perhaps the park’s most unusual activity is that you can extend your visit overnight by staying in a lodge!
Right in the heart of the Amazon jungle, five absolutely brilliant lodges have been set up, each with a different theme: “Amazonia”, “Jaguars” or “Pantanal”. Equipped with bay windows and balconies, they allow you to spend a magical night inside the park, and appreciate the surrounding flora and fauna up close. A magical night that also includes a meal at the Panoramic restaurant, a mouth-watering breakfast and aspecial event with an animal keeper just before the park opens to the public.
All in all, a truly off-the-beaten-track experience awaits you this summer just a stone’s throw from the capital. It’s up to you!
