On July 26, the Olympic Games will bring the whole capital to life! If you’re lucky enough to have a ticket to see a competition, here’s everything you need to know before you go.
1 – Latecomers are accepted… under certain conditions
Damn! Are you terribly late for fencing, handball or skateboarding? You can still watch the competition. The committee accepts latecomers up to halfway through the session. After that, you will no longer be able to access it.
2 – Jo: come to the site at least 1 h 30 before the start of the competition
To help you plan your journey and avoid wasting time in transport, the committee invites spectators to leave at least 1 h 30 before the start of each session. What’s more, an interactive map lets you know which station to use during the games. What’s more, free shuttles will be available to make your journey to the Olympic venues of your choice as easy as possible.
3 – Is the competition cancelled? You’ll find out thanks to the official application
Now that’s the scenario we’d rather not wish on you. You were all set to attend a competition, but unfortunately it was cancelled. But how do you know? Thanks to the official Olympic Games – Paris 2024 app ! From July 24, the application will feature a new “important information” section. You’ll know all the changes: incidents, time changes, weather, etc. The app will also tell you where the nearest public toilets or refreshment stalls are.
4 – Small water bottles are accepted
Unlike concerts, water bottles are accepted here under certain conditions. These must not exceed 75 cl. Metal or plastic, it doesn’t matter. You won’t be short of water, as 480 fountains will be installed at the games sites.
5 – You can exchange your tickets on the official ticket application
You’ve pounced on tickets to see horseback riding… but for x reason, you don’t want to or can’t go anymore. Well, you can exchange or sell your tickets. To do so, head to the official Paris app: Paris 2024 Tickets. In fact, it’s the only official platform for this kind of transaction!
