It’s one of the first major running events of the year in Paris, and runners can already try their luck. The 2027 HOKA Paris Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, March 7, 2027, covering a distance of 21.1 km through the streets of the capital. But for this new edition, you can’t simply buy your race bib as soon as registration opens: spots for the general public are now allocated by a random drawing.
Registration opened on September 8, 2026, and will remain open until midnight on September 30. So there’s no need to rush: signing up right away doesn’t give you any extra advantage. Participation in the lottery is free, and payment is only required if the runner actually secures a spot.
How do I register for the 2027 Paris Half Marathon?
Results will begin to be announced starting October 1. Those selected in the drawing will then have 72 hours to confirm their registration and pay for their race number. If not confirmed within this timeframe, the spot will be put back into the drawing. Those not immediately selected will automatically remain eligible for any subsequent drawings until all available race numbers have been allocated.

The general admission fee is set at 79 euros, with a 5% discount for FFA license holders who meet the specified requirements. Another practical new feature: you can register as a team of 2 to 6 people. In this case, the group shares the same fate: if the team is selected, all its members receive their race bibs. “Passerelle” race bibs for 25 euros are also available subject to eligibility requirements, as well as “charity” race bibs that allow you to run to benefit a partner organization.
A new route that’s still being kept under wraps
For now, runners will have to wait to find out exactly where the race will take place. The 2027 course, as well as the start and finish locations, have not yet been revealed. The organizers plan to release this information gradually over the coming months. With the race scheduled for early March, participants now have nearly six months to prepare for their goal—provided, this year, they first manage to secure that coveted race number.
