The Patinoire de Saint-Ouen turns into a street art playground at Urbain de Paname II
A bridge between contemporary and urban art, a talent incubator, a standard-bearer event against elitism in art…Urbain de Paname ‘s reputationis already well established! This year, the huge Patinoire de Saint-Ouen, disused and reused as an art gallery, reopens specially for a new edition of the Urbain de Paname street art festival.
Already a work of art in itself, this architectural jewel inaugurated in 1980 will provide the ideal brutalist backdrop to showcase the urban creations of over 60 street art giants. This ephemeral temple to urban art will bring together works that we don’t usually see in an ideally-placed spot, a stone’s throw from Paris and accessible from metro lines 13 and 14. Over 60 names have been announced for this exceptional exhibition, promising a veritable panorama of urban art, from pioneer to current phenomenon. Quite simply, the nec-plus-ultra of Paname’s urban art scene has been assembled for the occasion.
