St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and you’d like to celebrate in style? We’ve come up with an event that will immerse you in Irish culture, without you having to travel all the way to Ireland!
St. Patrick’s Day, from Ireland to France
On March 17, the whole of Ireland will be celebrating! On this day, Ireland honors the memory of its patron saint, St. Patrick. A traditional celebration not to be missed in the country, St. Patrick’s Day has crossed borders and taken root in several countries, which now organize their own festivities! Outside Ireland, the festival has its fans, who see it as a great opportunity to get together in a warm and friendly atmosphere!
On March 6, in advance of the official commemoration, we’ll be seeing some of the popular fervor and jubilation that take over the streets of Dublin, where the festivities are in full swing with spectacular parades.
The Paddy O’Flaherty parade to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
This March, if you can’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on the Irish mainland, you can make it your own in one of Paris ‘s Irish pubs. Among the festivities, Paddy O’Flaherty’s Parade should give you a taste of Ireland!
Organized by the Paddy whisky brand, this event will be a plunge into Irish culture and traditions on the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day. Take part in a festive evening punctuated by a parade led by musicians in traditional dress. They’ll link two Parisian venues (the O’Jason and the Galaway) and set the mood along the way! Take this opportunity to discover whisky, a spirit so dear to the Irish, which you can enjoy in tasty cocktails such as the “Ginger Paddy” or the “Paddy Irish coffee”!
