As you probably know, on November 5 (tomorrow), a cross-sector protest will take place throughout France. And, of course, Paris will inevitably be affected. The march is likely to take place between Bastille and Concorde, disrupting transportation for several hours… Here’s an update on the affected TER, RER, and metro lines.
TER and RER Service Disruptions
The four unions representing SNCF workers have called for a strike on Thursday, November 5. Specifically, service is likely to be severely disrupted on the RER D line, which connects Paris to Essonne, Seine-et-Marne, and Val-d’Oise.
The RER B, C, and E lines, as well as the H, J, L, N, R, and U lines, are also expected to experience disruptions, though no further details have been provided. Finally, the P line is expected to cancel a few trains.
Regarding major TGV and TER routes, the SNCF has announced that passengers affected by a delay and/or cancellation of their train will be notified by text message or email.
Subways, buses, and trams will operate without major issues
For now, the RATP has announced that service will run normally on all of its metro, bus, and tram lines.
