Alex, Marty, Gloria, Melman and their friends have escaped from the Central Park Zoo and taken refuge in the Théâtre du Gymnase, transformed for the occasion into a veritable Noah’s Ark. Audiences can now relive the adventures of these merry men in Madagascar, the musical. After a resounding success in Paris, the musical returns in October 2025. Just what Parisians have been waiting for!
The musical Madagascar takes over the Théâtre du Gymnase
Alex the lion is king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York’s Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends – Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippopotamus – have spent their entire lives happily captive in front of an admiring public. Unsatisfied with his life alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and escapes – with the help of some phenomenal penguins – to explore the world. The fabulous destiny of this original troupe is brought to life on stage in this musical comedy for young and old.
Starting in October, Marty and friends will take to the stage at the Théâtre du Gymnase in Paris’s vibrant 10th arrondissement. An unforgettable musical adventure produced by Dreamworks in partnership with M6 and RTL. Directed by Philippe Hersen – creator of such hits as Priscilla, folle du désert, Charlie et la Chocolaterie and Flashdance. Extravagant sets and costumes, zany characters, endless adventures and upbeat music… We all want to “Move it, move it!” and join them in the adventures of the mythical “Madagascar”!
