June 21st is Music Day! A time of celebration, when sharing and partying take precedence over everything else. During this event, many of you will be out enjoying free outdoor concerts (and you’d be wise to take advantage of them). To make the celebration even more enjoyable, the City of Paris has planned to keep certain metro, bus, Noctilien, RER, tram, and Transilien services running all night long! Here are the specific lines involved.
The metro will run all night for Music Day in Paris

On the night of Sunday, June 21, through Monday, June 22, certain metro lines will be open all night to ensure you get home safely. As was the case last year, six metro lines will be open all night. Please note that not all stations will necessarily be served. Specifically , these include:
- Line 1 with Château de Vincennes, Nation, Gare de Lyon, Bastille, Châtelet, Concorde, Franklin D. Roosevelt, George V, Charles de Gaulle–Étoile, Porte Maillot, Pont de Neuilly, La Défense
- Line 2: Nation, Père Lachaise, Belleville, La Chapelle, Barbès-Rochechouart, Anvers, Pigalle, Place de Clichy, Charles de Gaulle-Étoile, Porte Dauphine.
- Line 4: Bagneux, Mairie de Montrouge, Porte d’Orléans, Denfert-Rochereau, Montparnasse, Saint-Michel, Châtelet, Les Halles, Strasbourg-Saint-Denis, Gare de l’Est, Gare du Nord, Barbès-Rochechouart, Porte de Clignancourt.
- Line 6: Nation, Bercy, Place d’Italie, Denfert-Rochereau, Gare Montparnasse, Cambronne, La Motte Piquet Grenelle, Bir-Hakeim, Trocadéro, Kléber, Charles de Gaulle-Étoile
- Line 9: Mairie de Montreuil, Porte de Montreuil, Nation, Oberkampf, Strasbourg-Saint-Denis, Grands Boulevards, Havre-Caumartin, Saint-Augustin, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Alma-Marceau, Trocadéro, La Muette-Boulainvilliers, Porte de Saint-Cloud, Pont de Sèvres.
- Line 14: Thiais-Orly , Chevilly-Larue, L’Haÿ-les-Roses, Villejuif – Gustave Roussy, Hôpital Bicêtre, Maison Blanche, Olympiades, Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, Cour Saint-Emilion, Bercy, Gare de Lyon, Châtelet, Pyramides, Madeleine, Saint-Lazare, Pont Cardinet, Porte de Clichy, Saint-Ouen, Mairie de Saint-Ouen, Saint-Denis – Pleyel.
As for the RER and Transilien,lines A, B, C, D, and E, as well asTransilien lines H, J, L, N, P, and R, will run all night. Please note that Transilien line R will only operate between Melun and Montereau.
In addition, theT4 tramwill run all night between Aulnay-sous-Bois, Bondy, and the Montfermeil Hospital. Finally, if you were planning to take the Noctilien, note that it will be in service from 12:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.
