Nestled in theformer Saint-Louis royal priory, this cultural nugget opened in 1976 (enlarged in 1996, then modernized in 2019) invites young and old to a timeless journey. With its 14,000 objects, 600 of which are presented on each visit, the Musée du Jouet combines heritage, know-how and a healthy dose of nostalgia.
A unique collection – from rocking horses to video games

Along the way, visitors discover a fascinating panoramaof toy history, from Antiquity to the present day. Porcelain dolls, teddy bears, steam and electric trains, board games, costumes, rocking horses… The highlight of the show? The attic, where a network of electric trains comes to life before your amazed eyes.
Designed as a living experience, the museum is not just about exhibiting, but also about touching, manipulating and comparing toys from yesterday and today. Recently, two digital creations designed with the IIM de Vinci school add a futuristic touch – personalize your pedal car on a tablet, or meet the 3D avatars of your childhood toys.
