Well, this isn’t exactly news, but just like every summer, the RATP is undertaking major renovation work to maintain its lines. After Line 12, it’s Line 4’s turn to bear the brunt of it… In fact, in July, Line 4 will be closed for almost the entire month, between Les Halles and Montparnasse and Bienvenüe from July 6 to 24. Here’s the lowdown!
Line 4 will be closed for most of July
From July 6 to 24, this automated line will not serve 9 stops along its route, namely Les Halles, Châtelet, Cité, Saint-Michel, Odéon, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Saint-Sulpice, Saint-Placide, and Montparnasse–Bienvenüe.
The RATP is taking advantage of the summer and the start of vacation season to close one of the most important sections of its line. The goal? To improve safety and modernize the line to ensure its reliability! For now, we know that bus routes 38 and 96 will be reinforced for the entire duration of the work!
As usual, as you know, the key in situations like this is to plan ahead! If you can, reschedule your trips, work from home, and use other modes of transportation to avoid any issues…
