If you haven’t heard about it yet, it’s high time you did. And for those of you who were captivated by the first edition, you’re in for another spellbinding experience! LUMINISCENCE is quite simply the new spearhead of digital art. The concept: to restore the prestige of sacred monuments, those great forgotten figures of the news. Building on its dazzling success during its initial run across several cities in France—and having expanded its reach internationally—the sound-and-light show shines once again at the Church of Saint-Eustache, where this chapter begins with L’Odyssée Céleste.
🚨The show runs only through May 22!🚨
LUMINISCENCE: Taking Center Stage in Paris with L’Odyssée Céleste
Making places of worship and sacred monuments around the world accessible (and more appealing) is the bold challenge—mastered with flying colors—taken on by Romain Sarfati,co-founder of LOTCHI, a startup that creates immersive 360° experiences. Blending innovation with heritage, the mastermind behind LUMINISCENCE captivates with the modernity of his concept, which merges cutting-edge technology with architecture. Much more than just video mapping, it’s a true visual and auditory odyssey at the heart of one of the capital’s jewels.
Its return to the Church of Saint-Eustache in a brand-new augmented version is a clear response to the enthusiasm of the public and the press, whose reviews are already rave for the launch in Bordeaux:
“A blessing for creativity in all its forms.” – Le Monde
“A history lesson in color and music that will remain etched in memory.” – Sud-Ouest
“Breathtaking video projections awaken the slumbering soul of this architectural marvel.” – Arts in the City

Success, once again
The first edition of LUMINISCENCE had already captivated Paris, quickly rising to the status of a cultural “hit” thanks to its unique approach to a historic site. Spectators loved rediscovering the Gothic vaults and the majesty of Saint-Eustache through a new lens, bathed in “magical” light. Reactions on social media were already calling for a sequel, and now it’s here: the long-awaited event is back, more spectacular than ever.
The show, also acclaimed in Bordeaux under the name L’Odyssée Céleste, has proven its resounding success with a new narrative and a new voice—here narrated by a child to heighten the sense of wonder—making its return to Paris a logical and anticipated sequel, celebrated for its artistic qualities and its clear positive impact on the cultural experience.

Saint-Eustache Church in a New Light
The LUMINISCENCE experience highlights the rich history of Saint-Eustache. Indeed, this church is a major masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, famous for its bold fusion of Flamboyant Gothic and classical forms.
Its architecture is unique, combining the soaring structures of Gothic design (such as the immense vaults) with architectural details typical of the Renaissance, such as its façade andinterior ornamentation. Built between 1532 and 1637, it has hosted major events: the baptisms of Molière and Madame de Pompadour, as well as the funerals of La Fontaine and Mirabeau.
The show pays tribute to its impressive proportions, often compared to those of a cathedral, particularly its 33-meter-high nave. It is one of the most famous monuments in Paris for its post-medieval grandeur.

Details that are creating a buzz
The show is a total work of art that remains true to the venue. It offers a 360-degree immersion, enhanced by elements that made the first edition a success, but amplified by the excitement of a rediscovery. You’ll therefore find the same ultra-high-definition light show and captivating spatial sound design, which were the highlights most frequently cited by spectators.
Classical music blends perfectly with the lighting, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Two venues, two atmospheres: the live choir featuring 9 professional singers and an amateur choir of about thirty singers performing to a soundtrack recorded by the 50 musicians of the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, or the orchestra with special performances and 15 additional musicians for an exclusive live version.
A sensational second act: the Celestial Odyssey
Beneath the sacred vaults of Saint-Eustache Church, the audience is invited to embark on a journey of light and sound through the City of Light. For this new edition, the staging is enhanced by an original and spectacular light installation: the Nimbe, a giant, interactive ring of light nearly 3 meters in diameter, installed at the center of the church choir. An augmented video mapping experience complements the 360° projections, integrating visual effects and optical illusions in perfect synchronization with the artists’ live performances. In short, LUMINISCENCE is the perfect opportunity to experience what many have regretted missing, or would like to relive for a sense of wonder that never fades…
