Following Lines 4, 11, 12, and 14, can we hope for an extension of Line 10 in the coming years? Some riders would indeed love to see an extension toward the southeast. This project has been under discussion since 2013, despite its obvious benefits for all riders… But what, exactly, would such an extension actually offer? Let us explain.
Why might Line 10 be extended?
While Line 10 currently serves 23 stations, the association La Grande 10 dreams of much more! In fact, if an extension is approved, it could be carried out in two phases.
The first phase would involve a section between Austerlitz Station and Place Gambetta in Ivry-sur-Seine. This section would add five additional stations and provide passengers with new connections to Lines 6 and 14, as well as the RER C and the T3A tram.
The second section could connect the Ivry-Place Gambetta station to the Ardoines station in Vitry-sur-Seine. This would add four more stations and, most importantly, two additional connections to the RER C and the future Line 15!
So, when can we expect the line to be extended? For now, nothing has been announced…
