Sunny smiles and sunny plates: that’s what you can expect at Le Reflet. Its special feature: a team, the majority of whom have Down’s syndrome. Located in the heart of the Marais district, you’ll enjoy a convivial, flavorful experience, with dishes that are as original as they are refined. We invite you to join us in discovering this wonderful initiative, which proves once again that difference is strength.
A beautiful story, from Nantes to Paris
The project began in 2014. Flore Lelièvre, an interior architecture student at the time, imagined an original space as part of her final year project. Inspired by the story of her brother, who has Down’s syndrome, she wanted to contribute to the still too-limited integration of people with disabilities. Through professional encounters and support, Flore surrounded herself with a team and created an association before opening Le Reflet in Nantes in 2016. Proud of its success, the Parisian restaurant will follow in 2019.
Le Reflet: a restaurant designed as a place to enjoy and meet people
More than an inclusive restaurant, Le Reflet is a place for sharing and gastronomy. The menu features market-fresh dishes made with carefully sourced seasonal produce. In this way, the restaurant gives pride of place to short circuits and local produce, and its commitments have been recognized by the Ecotable label. An eye for detail that adds flavor to the restaurant’s colorful plates, which change every 3 weeks.
Innovations for inclusion
At Le Reflet, everything has been designed to allow the brigade to work as serenely as possible. Here you can see a room laid out in colored zones so that the team can find their way around. When ordering, stamp your menu choice on a divisible card, which the waiter will then collect. To aid service, the undersides of the plates even include molded fingerprints to make them easier to grip. A lowered pass-through and a rest room have also been set up on site. Ultra-innovative ideas to ease everyone’s integration and avoid stress! Ready to discover this Parisian nugget and support its lovely initiative?
