Just a stone’s throw from the Corentin Cariou metro station, La Gare – Le Gore is one of those hybrid Parisian spots we love to discover. People come here first for a pay-what-you-want jazz concert, often without really knowing what to expect. Then the evening gently shifts to the basement, where Le Gore takes over with an electronic music lineup that lasts until the wee hours.
A former train station that has become one of the liveliest spots in the 19th arrondissement
True to its name, La Gare is housed in a former Petite Ceinture train station, just a stone’s throw from La Villette. From the outside, the building retains that slightly raw look that gives it all its charm. A decorated facade, a lively courtyard, outdoor tables—and all of it, quite simply, in a great atmosphere.
At La Gare, concerts take place every night, with a lineup heavily focused on jazz, jam sessions, hybrid projects, and musicians who like to think outside the box. Admission is pay-what-you-can, which makes the venue much more accessible than most Parisian jazz clubs.
When the jazz ends, Le Gore takes over

Starting at midnight, the scene changes. Beneath La Gare, Le Gore opens its vaulted cellar and the party shifts gears. There, you leave behind the brass and drums for high BPMs with a darker, more electronic vibe. The venue is known for its techno, house, and more experimental lineups, with different collectives taking turns hosting depending on the night.
It’s this dual nature that makes La Gare – Le Gore so unique. Few places in Paris let you start with a live concert, get some fresh air on the terrace, and then head downstairs to dance until 6 a.m. without changing venues.
Prices also remain more affordable than at many Parisian clubs, especially on weeknights. Le Gore charges prices that vary by night, while La Gare maintains its pay-what-you-can policy for concerts.
In Paris, many hybrid venues bill themselves as “underground.” La Gare – Le Gore, however, doesn’t really need to say it. Between its former train station, daily concerts, garden, basement, and late-night parties, the spot already has that touch of organized chaos that makes for great venues.
